Kitchen Design Before & Afters

Kitchens, bathrooms, and cabinetry projects for the whole home

To achieve these Plymouth, MN homeowners’ vision, the wall separating the kitchen and dining area was removed, resulting in a large open space perfect for entertaining. The dramatic contemporary design features dark cabinetry beautifully illuminated by Decor Cabinets’ integrated lighting. Metal design elements, a combination of cherry and laminate cabinetry, and black accents add texture and visual intrigue.

A love of the popular farmhouse style inspired these clients. The reconfigured layout adds efficiency and increases storage. A former adjacent home office was transformed into a cozy breakfast nook. The new center island adds seating, a beverage refrigerator, and additional storage. The combination of white oak glass-front cabinetry with stainless steel appliances provides a beautiful modern rustic look.

The combination of carefully curated finishes with a sleek new island results in this stunning modern eclectic look.  Textured laminate, cherry stain, and painted taupe trim stand on their own, yet come together perfectly in this space. The island offers additional seating, and its countertop features a dramatic waterfall edge.

This Bloomington, MN client wanted to give their dated townhome a fresh, new look. This was accomplished by removing a wall to allow sunlight to bathe the newly expanded, vaulted space. The new kitchen was more than just updated – it was completely transformed by the new white cabinets and countertops, stainless appliances, and brushed gold hardware.

These clients desired a larger, more functional kitchen. To achieve this, the wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed. The new space features two spacious islands. One island is for cooking, baking, and meal preparation, while the other is for entertaining and everyday meals.  The back wall features a convenient beverage center and desk area.

This Shoreview, MN remodel features the warmth and timelessness of walnut in combination with custom, white-toned cabinets. The new kitchen reconfiguration results in significantly more functional space and features a built-in coffee bar and TV cabinet that can be closed with pocket doors when not in use.

Retaining the mid-century modern style of this classic 1957 North Oaks, MN home was essential to its remodel. Our designer’s vision honored the style’s clean, sleek lines, extended flat planes, and its strong connection to nature. The warm wood tones chosen for the new cabinetry are characteristic to the style and blend perfectly with the client’s original parquet floor.

Improving functionality and storage for a family with young children was the goal of this project. The new banquette and expansive island provide additional flexible seating and plenty of space for the children to do their homework and store their supplies. A blend of stained and painted cabinetry and mixed metals keep the space bright and visually interesting.
