While the walnut in the remodel is nice the white is overbearing. We’ve seen this movie before in the 90’s with the short lived “white kitchen” trend. Personally I find it cold and sterile. I want my kitchen and house to be warm and inviting… not an effective hospital. I found the before pics showed a space that was warm and comfortable, but I guess whatever people are into. If I were to use white I would use it sparingly to give some “pop” but beyond that it becomes too much.
ReplyHi Matt,
We definitely see where you are coming from. White kitchens are timeless and classic but not for everyone, we have learned over our years of experience! Thank you for your input. We hope you have a great day!

I love the look of this kitchen. Please can you share where the stools are from and the paint colour of the cabinets. Thanks in advance.
ReplyHi there! Thank you! It sure is beautiful. The cabinets were a custom color and here is that information: Custom –Crescent Moon (Pittsburg Paints & Stains). And the stools were from Restoration Hardware and here are those details: Reese Fabric Stool – Countertop stool w/ Brass finish in performance velvet – color: Twilight.

Thanks,
Katie
Hi Katie,
Thanks so much for the nice comment! We’re happy you love it. The hardware is from Emtek. It is their Jasper collection in the Satin Brass finish.

Hi Andrea,
Because we specialize in cabinetry, we don’t always provide all of the products to complete a remodel such as flooring, lighting, tile, etc. We sometimes do, our interior design team sometimes is part of the project to make those selections, or the client provides it themselves.
For this project, here is the information I have for you regarding the flooring: It is Existing Red Birch flooring and it was refinished with a custom stain. We unfortunately don’t have the custom stain information.
Thank you & have a wonderful day,
MacKenzie @ Studio M Kitchen & Bath
I love the mosaic in the backsplash! Such a beautiful and special touch. Are you able to share the source for the tile?
ReplyHi Molly,
Thank you for the kind words! We would be happy to provide that information for you.
Here is what I have for information on the accent tile: Lycian Rhomboid polished blend – Apollo

Absolutely beautiful!! I am considering custom walnut cabinets and want them to turn out just like those. I read they have no additional stain. Is that correct? I am considering matte sealer. What did you use?
ReplyHi Lisa,
You are correct! This is a natural walnut from one of our cabinet partners, Decor Cabinet Company.
